I'm a casting director in NYC and I'm casting for an indie film THIRSTY.  It's under the SAG Ultra Low Budget Agreement.  (talent does not have to be in the union, fyi) and I'm looking for strong male dancers/singers for a few young TOUGH BOYS, ala West Side Story.

travel/shoot: 10/11, 12 in Hudson Valley area

 

Pay: $100 + 10% (agent fee) /day

 

SYNOPSIS OF FILM: Scott Townsend’s slippery gender rules his life, from growing up in the projects as a bullied effeminate boy, to his career as Thirsty Burlington: kick-ass drag queen and Cher impersonator. This musical biopic spotlights the power of gender to both endanger and work its magic. Loosely based on the life of Scott Townsend/Thirsty Burlington, the film is a period piece, taking place during 1970s, 1980s, 1990s to present time. 

 

SEEKING:

 

Tough Boys: Male, 14-17 yrs old (leaning more on the younger side), Caucasian, Hispanic, African American. Must be strong dancers and can sing.  They need to act tough, they are rough and tumble and like to pick on others.  (think "when you're a jet" dancing/singing from west side story)
