Mersiha Mesihovic/CircuitDebris Master Dance Class on SAT 2/12 7 to 9pm

Mersiha Mesihovic/ Circuitdebris is a NYC based dance company and a platform for  community engagement. We are especially interested in providing  dance/movement artists a space to further their research and teaching through offering professional dancers/performers a low  cost  master dance  class.

On  Sat 4/12 the master class class will be held by MM/CD artistic director;  Mesihovic will teach a class inspired by her most recent movement research: Embodiment

Mersiha will lead the class participants to find their way into this young company’s (CircuitDebris) edgy style. We will move through a warm-up class to introduce the movement style and prepare the body for the work. We will continue with across the floor improvisational exercises, (part of the fundamental process of development of new work with Company Dancers) followed by a an introduction to her unique method for development of her dance work, utilizing energy, textures, gaze & physically explore manipulation of energy throguh  the body as a re-imagination of how we look at the moving body as a whole.  Music and dance for Mersiha Mesihovic are intrinsically linked and this unique approach to the creation of her work will allow the participants to explore rhythms within their movement. The class is designed for dancers looking to abandon habitual movement patterns as well as choreographers interested in movement invention and finding new entry points when developing work.

Artist interested  in pushing their physicality, and working with the company are encouraged to attend.
