Brooklyn-based movement-based performance artist seeks dancers for a new work to be performed in Brooklyn the first weekend of September 2014.

I am looking to work with dancers who are comfortable with improvisation, inversions, athletic choreography and quick, rhythmic movement. Experience with partnering, acrobatics, capoeira, circus arts, social dancing, hip hop, breakdancing and/ or other street styles is a plus!

My influences include (but are not limited to) vaudeville, striptease, circus, street dancing, social dancing, Pina Bausch, feminist performance art, Bob Fosse, club dancing, fly girls, drag, Keith Haring, tango, tap dance, riot grrrl, 90s RnB, Patti Smith, Dolly Parton, Beat Street, Prince, New york City, aerobics, torch singers, and Michael Jackson.

Regular rehearsals through July and August. It is imperative that you would be available through the summer.

Some payment will be discussed and provided.

I will be holding auditions at the end of June/ beginning of July by invitation. If you are interested in auditioning please email me with a bit about your performance experience - photos and video links would be very helpful.
