JP Dance Group seeks a mature male or female dancer with acting skills or actor/actress who can move well to play the role of Dross L. Myer (if male is cast)/ Drossa Myer (if a female is cast) in our Arts in-education performances of the Nutcracker on Lenox Avenue. This 1920's jazz and modern dance nutcracker set to Duke Ellington's arrangement of the Nutcracker Suite is a fresh twist on the holiday classic.

Role description:

Dross L. Myer/Drossa Myer (Male or Female 35-65) mysterious inventor, witch-doctor, and world traveler. Has a sinister sense of humor and a soft spot for his niece, Clara Myer, who he/she spoils.

Must be available for rehearsals on Sundays 1pm-5pm in October and November. Performances will be held in Harlem on December 3rd at 10:30am.
