Trisha Brown Dance Company is dedicated to the creation, performance, and preservation of the work of Trisha Brown. For the last 44 years, TBDC has toured throughout the world performing, teaching, and building relationships with audiences and artist alike. 

The Trisha Brown Dance Company is looking for applicants that are self-motivated, energetic, detail-oriented, and reliable with flexibility for availability to work during weekday hours for a minimum of 8 hours a week. Applicants should be able to house themselves in the NY metro area. Preference is given to candidates with experience in dance, theater production or archives. 

The Internship openings are as follows:

Studio Internship 

We are seeking an Intern to assist the Associate Artistic Director from March through June  2015 with studio and administrative tasks and with flexibility to be available during weekday hours, preferably Monday mornings and Friday afternoons. 

Administrative Internship

Assist in the business and management operations of the organization. This internship requires superb organizational skills and someone who can assist in implementing systems to help streamline work process/flow. This is especially for those interested in arts administration professionally.

Education & Marketing Internship

Assist Education Director in multiple aspects of marketing and administering dance education programs. Intern will also help on-site with the logistical oversight of workshops and classes. 

Archives Internship

Interns needed to assist the Archives Department with cataloguing, digitization project as well as database updates.

Development Internship 

Development Interns to assist our Development Director with preparations for fundraising and member events, drafting correspondence and other writing materials. Eligible candidates should be articulated, well-organized, have the ability to prioritize and meet hard deadlines. Possess strong writing, verbal and editing skills in the English language.  

Although all TBDC internships are unpaid, interns are given the opportunity to gain experience in the operations of an internationally renowned dance company. If desired, interns may make arrangements with a college or university to receive school credit. Interns may attend TBDC education classes & workshops free of charge.
