Bryn Cohn + Artists seeks one full time male dancer and apprentice for their 2015 – 2016 season including performances in New York City, residencies, national touring and teaching. Candidates must have strong technical, improvisational and partnering skills. BC + A is interested in dancers who who test their physical and emotional boundaries, investigate theatrical dynamics and invest in cultivating intimate and comprehensive performance experiences.   

Hailed as “groundbreaking, primal, graceful, flowing effortlessly, surreal and supernatural” (Brooklyn Buzz), Bryn Cohn + Artists has boomed on the New York dance scene and quickly gained recognition for their emotionally pioneering, innovative and risk-taking performances. The company has performed in premiere venues including Danspace Project, Ailey Citigroup Theater, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Symphony Space, Judson Memorial Church, The Center for Performance Research, 92nd Street Y, Abrons Arts Center, Baruch Performing Arts Center, Salvatore Capezio Theater, Manhattan Movement and Arts Center and in collaboration with the contemporary art galleries Foley Gallery and Castle Fitzjohns on two site-specific performance series. The company will tour their latest evening length work Skin to the West Coast in Spring of 2016.

The audition will take place on Tuesday September 1st from 10am - 4pm at Gibney Dance (280 Location).

Contracts consist of approximately 20 weeks of work including rehearsal and performance periods, touring and teaching. 

Bryn Cohn + Artists will teach a workshop as part of the Master Series at Peridance on Monday August 24th – Friday August 28th from 1:00 – 2:30pm. The workshop will focus on the repertory and collaborative methodologies from Skin. Attendance is highly encouraged as this material will be taught at the audition in consideration for future employment. To learn more and register, click HERE.
