Borne Dance Company is currently seeking guest artists to submit their work for our upcoming show "Recover." This show is in honor of the National Eating Disorder Association's Eating Disorder Awareness week and will take place Feb 28th and 7 pm at St. Paul's Theatre in Brooklyn, NY. We are currently looking for all types of artists to apply including dancers and dance companies, musicians, writers, actors, visual artists, etc. Any piece is welcome to apply as long as the theme revolves the theme of "recover." Pieces can include ideas of body positivity, social pressures of the media, recovery from anything, self growth, etc. This show will be donation based and all proceeds will be donated back to the National Eating Disorder Association. Because of this we will not be able to pay guest artists but we will provide footage of the show and there is no application or production fee. To apply please email us at BorneDanceCompany@gmail.com describing your piece you would like to contribute, and what kind of art you do. Please send us a video of the piece, or if it is a new piece then please send us a video sample from past work. Please write us a paragraph explaining how your piece fits with this show, and give us the duration of the piece. We are looking for several pieces that run from 5 to 10 minutes. We require all guest artists to bring at least 3 audience members to the show. Deadline to apply will be January 30th. Thank you and we look forward to hearing from you.
