Who are we?

Proteo Media + Performance (launching June 2016) creates unique intermedia performance experiences using film, projections, and live dancers. Headed by Artistic Director Kathleen Kelley and a team of collaborators across art forms including composers, visual artists, poets, lighting designer, and filmmakers, Proteo specializes in lush visual and textural landscapes and engagingly detailed physicality. Its artistic works explore the intersections between improvisation, technology, feminism and the body, often integrating the logic of dance performance into fields such as film, interactive technology, poetry, sculpture, and software design in addition to live performance.

What are we looking for?

Proteo Media + Performance is currently accepting applicants for fall/ spring internships. We are focusing on an upcoming show Digitized Figures that will run from October 14th-16th and October 21st-23rd. We are looking for dedicated and energetic interns for pre show assistance, assistance during the run of shows, and long term assistance for upcoming shows in the spring. Interns will receive free tickets to upcoming shows and opening night parties, free attendance to upcoming Proteo classes/ workshops, and for ongoing interns, college credit is available.

- load in and set up (Oct. 11th-13th 10am-6pm)

- assist during dress rehearsal (Oct. 13th 6pm-10pm)

- stage assistants (Oct. 14th-16th, Oct. 21st-23rd)

FOH Interns

- party set up (Oct.13th)

- box office ( Oct 14th-16th, Oct. 21st-23rd)

- Concessions ( Oct 14th-16th, Oct.21st- 23rd)

Media interns

- Pictures/ videos (Oct. 13th, Oct. 14th-16th, Oct. 21st-23rd)

- After show editing of pictures and videos.
