Female and Male Contemporary Dancers needed for Theatrical Production

Two Tone Rambler – a collaborative theater company and Lama Theater Company are holding auditions for their co-production of The Woman Who Shed Her Skin, a hybrid piece about identity.  We are looking for a dynamic female lead to present the movement half of the main character and 3 supporting men or women to create an unsavory club dance.  Contemporary/Modern training and a sense of theatricality are essential, partnering/contact improv experience a plus.  Dancers may be called upon to speak (but it is not a requirement), singing is a plus.   We are looking for skilled movers who are not afraid to generate material as well as to learn existing choreography.  We are developing this together, so we are interested in what you bring to the piece within established parameters.

Rehearsals will be weekday afternoons and some weekends in Manhattan and Brooklyn. Rehearsals start in December for a show in February and a possible run in the Brighton Fringe, UK.

Open audition Monday Nov 21 at 2 pm in Studio E at Gibney Dance 280 Broadway Enter 53A Chambers St. Audition will run approximately 2 hours. Please bring headshot and resume.
