ANIKAYA Dance Theater, directed by Wendy Jehlen, is looking for one male or non-female-identifying dancer of color for Conference of the Birds, a dance-theater work funded by a Building Bridges grant from the Doris Duke Foundation for Islamic Art.  Join an ensemble of world-class dancers from Benin, Brazil, Egypt, Japan and the US!  

Experienced performers with backgrounds in dance and movement forms other than contemporary or modern strongly encouraged to attend. Dancers who are fluent in at least two languages strongly preferred. No age limit.

Must be able to commit to a one-month creative residency in March 2018, premiere performances through April 8. Periodic touring in the US and abroad to follow.
