Audition for Asian-Pacific American dancers and performers
2018 CUNY Dance Initative recipients and movement collective | vessels | is seeking Asian-Pacific American performers for a new dance-theatre piece Neutral Ground.
Show Details:
Neutral Ground is a 60-minute dance theatre piece that explores existing in the in-between space and the search for belonging as Asian-Pacific Americans. Giving voice to the singular monolith that is the “model minority,” Neutral Ground seeks to bring to life the buried stories and emotional landscapes that exist within Asian-Pacific American communities.
Performance Dates: April 26th, 27th, and 28th
Location: LaGuardia Performing Arts Center
Rehearsals: 2-3x per week/TBD.
Neutral Ground is supported by CUNY Dance Initiative, LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, Asian American Arts Alliance.
Casting Details:
Asian-Pacific American performers with strong backgrounds in contemporary movement, improvisation, and dance-theatre. Must be interested in the creative process and working collaboratively with choreographers and fellow performers.
