URGENTLY seeking male or female dancer for the Emerging Choreographer Series 2018

Mare Nostrum Elements is seeking one male of female dancer to work with Italian Choreographer Nicoletta Serio for the Emerging Choreographer Series 2018, presented in collaboraton with LaGuardia Performing Arts Center (CUNY).

(No Italian language speacking required)

ECS is an 8 week grant and developmental showcase program providing emerging choreographers with the tools and the means to create, develop and premiere a new choreographic work.

As a dancer for the Emerging Choreographer Series, you will:

> rehearse weekly with a new and exciting choreographic voice

> participate in intimate studio showings and feedback processes

> develop deeper understanding of the dancer's role in the choreographic process

> perform in front of a panel of established choreographers and directors in a mid-term feedback session.

 

Rehearsals begins immediately: Sunday January 21, 2018

Performance dates: February 26th and 27th, 2018

Paid position - Must be available for all (or most) of the dates/times indicated in this REHEARSAL SCHEDULE

 

AUDITION INFORMATION:

DATE: Friday, January 19th, 2018

TIME: 1-3pm 

* Call back: 4-5pm

LOCATION: Spaceworks LIC

DIRECTIONS: 7 train to 33rd/Rawson -  E,M,R trains to Queens Plaza

Casting Details:

Nicoletta Serio is seeking 1 male or female dancer with experience in contemporary release technique. Strong emphasis is placed on dancers who have classical technique base, emotional expressive skills, floorwork experience, and extreme flexibility.
