New Ballet Ensemble & School located in Memphis, TN is auditioning in New York City for full-time teaching and performing artists for the 2018-2019 season. 

May 25th at 10-2pm at Alvin Ailey Studios, no fee! Ballet class followed by repertory, please plan to stay until 2pm for interviews following the audition. Please bring headshot and resume. 

-New Ballet Ensemble offers their teaching and performing artists 36-40 week contracts with benefits and part-time seasonal opportunities.

-The season includes 3-4 full-evening productions, school shows, company performance collaborations in locations all over the Memphis area. Teaching and performing artists teach in our studio, schools, and community locations. 

-Repertory performed is a diverse, multicultural blend of classical ballet to contemporary, modern, Hip Hop, West African and flamenco. Guest choreographers include Francesca Harper, Elizabeth Corbett ( Frankfurt Ballet, William Forsythe), General Hambrick (Minnesota Dance Theatre) , Uri Sands (Alvin Ailey, NC Dance Theatre) and many more.

New Ballet Ensemble & School is a creative youth development organization that brings children together by providing equitable access to excellence in dance training, regardless of the ability to pay.

****Dancers applying should have a strong teaching and performing ability and a love for children. A high technical level of ballet and/or modern dance. Versatility a plus! Able to teach varying levels of dance (Ballet, Horton, Graham, Tap, Jazz, etc) Professional company credentials and/or BFA in dance not required but strongly desired.
