Hip-hop Dance Teaching Artist
Position Summary
92Y's Center for Arts Learning and Leadership (CALL) is seeking qualified and versatile dance teaching artists specializing in hip-hop. CALL provides public schools with in-school, yearlong dance residencies. Students attend a professional performance at 92Y, and the residency culminates with a final performance at the partner school.
Essential Functions
We are looking for dedicated, flexible, and professional teaching artists specializing in hip-hop although we are open to other teaching styles as well. It is preferred that teaching artists have experience teaching English language learners and students with special needs.
Education, Skills and Experience
Degree in dance (preferably with a focus in dance education)
At least 2 years of dance teaching experience in a public school setting
The ideal candidate has a passion for dance education and can commit to the duration of the program (October – May) while maintaining a consistent schedule
Strong communication skills
