Chen Dance Center presents newsteps: a choreographers Series is a CURATED showcase for emerging or mid-career artists at The Theater of Chen Dance Center. This semi-annual series, est. in 1994, is dedicated to experimental, innovative, and risk-taking creators and provides selected artists with studio space, a professionally-produced shared evening bill, an artist honorarium, support in Marketing, Production and Programming. The Theater of Chen Dance Center is a professional black box venue that presents the work of H.T. Chen & Dancers and serves the New York City dance community and audiences from the metropolitan area.
