Looking for a choreographer for i KADA Contemporary Dance Company's 8th Annual Show this November 2018!

The 8th i KADA Dance annual show and gala event will be held at Manhattan Movement and Arts Center on November 10th!!

Event Description:
As of last year, i KADA Contemporary Dance Company presents "Share the Stage" in its annual season. Expect to share an experience out of the ordinary with an inside look to a world that is often misunderstood and falsely glamorized. Join i KADA in a night of honesty and vulnerability.  As artists, we understand the struggle in trying to create and find opportunities to present work. Success for one is success for all; when one has the opportunity to be heard, to be seen, its important for that person to share the stage. We should work together to build each other up. This is what "Share the Stage" is focused on. 

Expectations and Pay:

* The annual show compensation will be $300 for a 7-8 minute long piece, along with photos and video footage of the show.

* We will offer rehearsal space for a total of 12 times: Rehearsal dates will be every Monday evening starting from August 27th. (August rehearsal schedules has been updated on the i KADA website to review)

*Costumes, music, and other costs are the responsibility of the choreographer to pay for.  

Once selected, we will have a meeting with you to confirm details on August 19th at 1:30pm. 

On August 26th at 10am, the selected choreographer will hold a casting audition for their dance piece from our i KADA dance members. 

Casting Audition from 10am-12pm at Gibney dance (280 broadway) in Studio U.

Please also send in your headshot, resume, and 2 different videos of your most recent work to Artistic Director, Mee Jung at ikadadance@gmail.com by Wednesday, August  15th.  We will notify the selected choreographer by August 17th.
