An indie movie / feature film project shooting on location in Houston, TX (you need not reside in Houston) in the 4th quarter of 2018? is seeking a truly extraordinairy choreographer. (Dates/Approximately 4 week schedule T.B.D.)

You know how it is, EVERYONE who has something to say and the creative technique to say it, i.e. they can actually express their sentiments/knowledge/emotion in the form of dance, is great. We all are great. We're simply vessels of the One True Creative Spirit. Yes, Ma'am/Sir!

For our dear little movie engine that could, we are looking for something different from just great. More than great? We are definitely on the humble side, BUT we totally respect unabashed honesty. We're looking for something not seen too often. It's something that comes along once in a generation, maybe twice. We're looking for someone they will name a great dance institution after one day. Or they'll let you direct a movie that will win an Oscar simply because YOU are naturally perfectly balanced on the cusp between innovation and tradition. You're doing something new and different, but not just to be doing it. Innovation for the sake of innovation stems from pride ... and looks false. We're looking for true blue. You're someone who has been called to dance, and you must follow your calling wherever it leads. Your talent doesn't allow you to compromise, to follow trends for advancement purposes. You stick to your own one-of-a-kind manifesting of energy, and you know that at the end of the day, the trends will bend towards you.

We're looking for movements that are trendy but forces of nature in their own right when necessary. Moves that can put some of today's best video kings and queens to shame because your expression is so NOW but not even thought of yet, they'll be hip to it TOMORROW.

We're looking for fire and ice and wind and sea and sun and sweat and grit in limbs and motion. We're looking for the equivalent of good versus evil. We're looking for God and the Devil on one stage ... well, the Devil's corner is more pulpit.

If you know that you're doing something that few people can identify with, but it is so totally ahead of its own energy, you're the one.

(As long as you look cool doing it, and not like some blanket flapping around the stage - doing oh so luscious moves but looking messy and melodramatic, male but ultra-feminine, technically on point but dripping with sacharine sweetness like a bad soap opera or just plain lucky but yucky like stinky breath that results from eating "great" food.)

Oh yes, and for you - dance is attractive. If you're the type who crouches down like a gnome and rolls all over the floor to be different in expressing some dark ideal, that's not the type of innovation we're looking for.

We're looking for REAL. Pure talent. A hot mess of a maestro choreographer who can take a bad ad (like this one that we had to do to shake everybody up, sorry! Everybody's work looks so similar, it's boring and cliche...) and roll with it, because he's humble and secure enough to claim what's his with the 100% certainty that due respect will definitely be given for his effort. Not completely as an afterthought, but OR HER.

We're just looking to acknowledge the undiscovered genius that has been dancing all over the city until time has caught up.

You have very little choreography to do for us, but it's WHAT you do - in the alotted time to imprint audience's minds indelibly so it lives forever - that counts.
