newsteps: a choreographers Series is a CURATED showcase for emerging or mid-career artists at The Theater of Chen Dance Center. This semi-annual series, est. in 1994, is dedicated to experimental, innovative, and risk-taking creators and provides selected artists with studio space, a professionally-produced shared evening bill, an artist honorarium, support in Marketing, Production and Programming. The Theater of Chen Dance Center is a professional black box venue that presents the work of H.T. Chen & Dancers and serves the New York City dance community and audiences from the metropolitan area.

Live Audition on Sunday January 27th, video submissions not accepted. NO application or performance fee and NO age limit.

Performance dates: April 11-13, 2019 at The Theater of Chen Dance Center (Mandatory tech Rehearsals: April 7, 8, 9)
