LaRussa Dance Presents: The Queens Informal, curated by Mari Meade Dance Collective / MMDC, Made possible by the Queens Council on the Arts

DUE FEB 8. Notification by February 18.

The Academy (6679 73rd Pl, Middle Village, Queens NYY 113679) will be hosting two informal showings, on Monday, March 11th and Monday, April 8th. The goal is to create community, and gain valauable feedback from other artists and dance audiences. The performance will be donation based, with wine and snacks for sale. Come enjoy an evening of dance, friends, and community! 

Choreographers are encouraged to submit solo, duet or small group work that is new or unfinished to be shown alongside a WIP work from MMDC. Three choreographers will be selected per evening. Pieces are suggested to be less than 15 minutes. Following the showing there will be a brief post performance discussion, led by Mari Meade. Queens residents strongly encouraged to apply.

There is no fee to apply, and this is not a paid opporunity. There is no lighting or video, though you are welcome to bring your own videographer.

Performance format (for both March 11th and April 8th): Tech 6-7 pm, show 7:30-8:30 pm, feedback 8:30-9pm 

Pieces selected for The Queens Informal will also be considered for FREE SUNDAY PERFORMING ARTS| QUEENS DANCE FESTIVAL 2019, June 9, 2019.

Include:

* Brief bio

* Video of WIP work to be present OR video of a different finished work. Start time if applicable 

* Short description of WIP to be presented including how many dancers props, music, etc

* Name, email, address and phone number

* Queens Residence? Y/N

* If you are available for March 11th and/or April 8th. This MUST include availabilty for tech, performance, and post perfomance discussion
