The Brooklyn Center for the Arts is the result of a vision to build a world-class fine arts facility in Brooklyn. Our programs offer everyone an opportunity to develop their artistic talents and interests. 

We are looking for competent individuals seeking a future in dance instruction to assist our dance instructors with classes. This is an opportunity to develop skills in leadership, classroom management and gain professional teaching experience.

Classes are currently held on Saturdays for children ages 3-11 between 9am and 3pm, however your participation is not required for the full day (scheduling will be discussed). The internship will begin on March 23rd and finish on June 15th.

Responsibilities
- Assist instructor with classroom management 
- Ensuring children are focused on the teacher and their instruction 
- Ability to exercise good judgment when interpreting instructions
- Backstage help for culminating showcase in June

Requirements
- Patience working with children
- Have prior dance experience in one or more of the following: ballet, tap, modern 
- Must be a team player 
- Open to constructive criticism and feedback 
- Can be flexible
