Stage Manager needed for Choreography Series!

 
theLAB by SGalberth

theLAB seeks a Stage Manager for a choreography series in Jersey City. We would prefer someone experienced with dance and live performance. The show will be June 14, with tech on June 13th and 14th. All candidates MUST be available for tech and show.  

 

Job responsibilities may include -

Acting as a liaison between the artistic director, production staff, and artists involved.

Being present and on time for all tech rehearsals and performance.

Learning all cues for the show and communicating them clearly to staff.

Setting up and striking all wardrobe and props before/after shows.

Creating a master calendar of tech rehearsals

Managing the production callboard, including sign-in sheets, and announcements.

Compiling cast and crew contact lists.

 

About theLAB -

theLAB by SGalberth is an imaginative, experimental space where choreographers of color and dancers of all backgrounds can create freely and have an open dialogue with audiences. It is an environment for artists and audiences to collaborate in conversation. theLAB presents everyday human stories as well as the taboos we don’t discuss. Our mission is to be a vehicle for choreographers of color to share our stories in our own voices.

 

About this experiment -

TheLAB is always primarily focused on artists of color, but each performance will have its own unique theme. Our theme for this performance is "Color Stories", everyday human stories as well as the taboos we don’t discuss.

 

Compensation -

A stipend of $100, a free ticket to invite someone to the show, and a shout out in the show credits. We can also offer you snacks.
