PRE-AUDITION REGISTRATION REQUIRED.  PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION BELOW BEFORE REGISTERING FOR THE AUDITION.

BalaSole Dance Company is especially looking for unique uplifting and unique solos/pieces in "any genre" for its concert seasons.

AN 8-DAY PAID CONTRACT WILL BE OFFERED FOLLOWING THE AUDITION.  PERFORMERS WILL ALSO RECEIVE PHOTOS AND VIDEOS OF THEIR PERFORMANCES.

BalaSole Dance Company is currently seeking high-calibered male and female solo dance artists (of all shapes, sizes, ages, ethnicities, styles and backgrounds) to perform their own self-choreographed 3-4 minute solo pieces, as well as ensemble pieces, for its 2019 New York City Season Concert on August 16 & 17, 2019 at the Alvin Ailey Citigroup Theater.

The first part of the audition will involve learning a short group combination. The second part will involve presentations of self-choreographed solo pieces (3-4 minutes MAXIMUM) to be performed in the August 2019 concert. Please bring your costume and DO NOT attend the audition if your solo is unfinished. During the audition, emphasis will be given to artistry. An advanced proficiency in either modern, contemporary, jazz, or ballet is required.

Artists who are not selected as soloists at the audition have another opportunity to perform in BalaSole's ensemble pieces as part of the company's Emerging & Re-Emerging Artist Program. BalaSole's Emerging & Re-Emerging Artist Program is a non-paid performance opportunity that provides artists professional experience and visibility at a prominent NYC dance venue.
