'So, You Think You Can Choreograph' is an annual competition presented by Nacre Dance Group that is designed to highlight the talent of choreographers from the Capital Region and beyond in modern and contemporary choreography.  This has been a great opportunity for career choreographers and new artists breaking into choreography to present before a large audience of the capital region. This unique opportunity allows for the audience to vote on who they would like to see perform more work in the area.  In addition it helps provide a new outlet/ audience for the choreographer and compensates contestants for their time. This entertaining viewer experience also creates a space for the winning contestant to set a piece of their original choreography on dancers and perform it in the Capital Region the following Spring.

Because this is a competition based on audience voting there are two categories for submission; Local and Visting
