Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Teaching Artists who specialize in teaching African and African Diasporic dance and/or African and African Diasporic percussive techniques

Facilitate professional development workshops for teachers with a focus on the Blueprints of learning dance as set forth by the NYC Board of Education
Attend FDC strength-based training for workers
Participate in curriculum development meetings at resident schools
Communicate with school administrators/teachers to determine workshop scheduling
Participate in planning/reflection meetings with Siren staff and school partners
Support program assessment and evaluation procedures
Support the planning and coordination of student culminating events
Attend workshop observations, professional development, and reflection meetings
Submit work hours on a monthly basis
