Paid Dance Studio Internship

 

WR Arts provides quality performing arts education in a safe and supportive environment throughout the Williamsburg/Greenpoint area in afternoon programs including In School & Studio settings.

We are currently seeking performers and artists who are interested in working as an intern in our Home Base & In School Programs. Interns will work closely with other Teaching Artists & Management to gain hands on knowledge in both Arts Administration & Teaching. This is a great mentorship position for college and post graduate students or those who are seeking to enter the Teaching Artist field and who are interested in growing within our organization.

Responsibilities may include:

•Assisting Teaching Artists in styles including Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop, Modern, Jazz, Language Immersion, Art, Creative Movement&Theater, Voice, & more.

•Assisting in supervision of children ages 3-10 years during transitions from their school day to WR Arts' classes.

•Weekly attendance of classes.

•General housekeeping and studio upkeep.

Applicants must have afternoon availability (between 2-6pm) on Mondays and Tuesdays.

This position is through the end of June with the opportunity to continue in the 2020/2021 school year and beyond.
