Applications are open for the Women's Day Dance Festival, a curated dance performance to be presented on March 7, 2020 at 7:30PM at St. Luke's Episcopal Church (17 Oak Ave, Metuchen, NJ 08840). All female-identifying choreographers of any genre interested in presenting are welcome to apply. There is no application fee.

The deadline to apply is January 25, 2020. You will be notified by February 1 with our decision of acceptance or rejection. If your piece is accepted, you will have three days to confirm your participation and one week submit your program information, technical information, publicity photos, and sound file.

Choreographers whose work is chosen will be given one complimentary ticket, and are expected to help populate the audience by bringing a minimum of five paid patrons to the performance. Dancers and choreographers must be available for technical rehearsal between 12PM and 6PM on the day of the show.

----------

Event Description: On Saturday March 7th, 78 Moves and ~mignolo dance~ seek to honor International Women’s Day through a collaborative performance and charity gift auction. The curated event will feature works by female artists, companies, and choreographers. Both companies take pride in championing women, and use art to share their perspectives and shed light on important societal issues. While giving a voice and platform for budding choreographers to present their work, they have partnered with Women Aware - a Middlesex county nonprofit organization which provides support and resources to victims of domestic violence. A portion of the ticket sales and all proceeds from the gift auction will be donated.
