GIBNEY DANCE COMPANY SEEKS EXPERIENCED DANCERS WITH STRONG TECHNICAL AND ARTISTIC ABILITIES FOR FULL-TIME CONTRACTS FOR ITS 2020-2021 SEASON.

Gibney supports its dancers, called Artistic Associates, with 52-week contracts, health insurance, and paid vacations.

Artistic Associates embrace a broad spectrum of activities — in the studio, on stage, within the organization, and throughout the community.

Gibney Dance Company Artistic Associates:

- Perform work by renowned guest choreographers. Previous and current commissioned choreographers include Bryan Arias, Adam Barruch, Shamel Pitts, Bobbi Jene Smith, Micaela Taylor, among others.
- Facilitate movement workshops for survivors of intimate partner violence.
- Offer healthy relationship assemblies to high school students across the city through our Hands are for Holding program.
- Engage the community through individually-crafted Advocacy Fellowships. Each AA pinpoints a pressing issue in dance that ignites a personal passion within them to develop, implement and co-create new programs in response to the evolving needs of the field.
