Dancer Audition

 

Dance Into Light is seeking dancers for their upcoming show which is part of a long standing nursing and rehabilitation home performance program.


Dance Into Light is looking for dancers with classical training, strong expressive movement qualities, a pleasant and collaborative demeanor and a dependable and positive work ethic. Dancers must be comfortable performing for and interacting among seniors with various health conditions that affect aging populations. Dancers must be comfortable performing in nontraditional settings. If you feel this describes you, please read on and apply for an audition spot.


Dancers must be available Fridays between the hours 10 am - 4 pm for 3-4 hour rehearsals in Queens, NY.


Five daytime performances will be held from June-November; dates are scheduled based on dancers’ schedules. TBD

Dancers will receive a stipend for performances and possibly for rehearsals (Performance Amount TBD & Rehearsal Stipend TBD)


To be considered for an audition opportunity, please submit a headshot, recent bio (pasted into the email), video link of you dancing and website link, if you have, to danceintolight@gmail.com (please paste as much info as you can into the email)


In the email please include a few sentences about your experience and interest with arts and senior communities.


Please apply for audition by 11 pm, Monday, January 27, 2020.


Auditions will take place in Queens on Friday, Feb. 7 from 10:30 am - 2 pm.
