Downtown Brooklyn Rehearsal Residency Initiative

Dancewave as part of the Downtown Brooklyn Rehearsal Residency Initiative Rebecca Oviatt

In response to the effects of the COVID-19 crisis on the NYC cultural landscape, DBP created the Downtown Brooklyn Rehearsal Residency Initiative in 2020 to provide free outdoor rehearsal space to artists and arts organizations.

The Initiative continues in 2021 with two rounds of residencies, each providing space on a recurring basis for 12 consecutive weeks. The first round will be at MetroTech Commons from April - June, and the second round will be at the Plaza at 300 Ashland from July - September. Time slots are available seven days a week. DBP invites artists and arts organizations to request use of these spaces on a rolling basis until filled.
