Calling advanced dancers aged 13-19! 

CoreDance Contemporary’s Premiere Pre-Professional Training Program; CoreDance & Co. is auditioning. Join us Sunday September 19 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM at GIBNEY 280 in Studio H/Theatre. 

Audition Details:  

The audition structure will be that of a workshop, incorporating floor-work, partnering and improvisational tasks. Dancers will have the opportunity to display their technical attributes and skills in a nurturing environment where learning and the continuation of dance education are the focus.

11:45AM-1:00PM – Audition

Due to COVID-19 restrictions the maximum capacity is 40 auditionees. The cut off to register is Sunday September 12 at 12:00AM ET. There will be no drop in registrations allowed on the day of the audition. Please bring a hard copy of your headshot and resume.

Please note that in accordance with GIBNEY Center’s COVID-19 Vaccine Policy, all auditionees will be required to provide evidence of full COVID-19 vaccination and a Photo ID upon entry to the building. For more information please click Here

About the Training Program:

CoreDance & Co. is CoreDance Contemporary’s Premiere Pre-Professional Contemporary Training Program.

Geared towards advanced dancers aged 13-19, successful candidates will be chosen by audition only. 

Dancers Will Develop partnering and floor work skills through versatile training that will also enhance their strength and agility

Dancers Will Build skills that extend past the dance studio floor including audition tools, self-development tools, networking opportunities and more 

Dancers Will Grow by receiving personalized attention from industry professionals

Dancers Will Perform via professional performance opportunities with CoreDance Contemporary

The Pre-Professional Contemporary Training Program will take place weekly on a Sunday at GIBNEY 280 from 10:00AM to 1:00PM, commencing Sunday October 3, 2021, through and including Sunday May 22, 2022.

10:00AM to 11:15AM - Contemporary Technique
11:15AM to 1:00PM – Rehearsal Process

The program will culminate with performances alongside CoreDance Contemporary as part of their Spring Season from May 20-22 at The Mark O’Donnell Theatre at The Actors Fund Arts Center in Brooklyn, NY.
