The Bridge for Dance presents the Uptown Rising Performance Series Summer 2022 Season

After presenting over 100 artists since our inaugural 2018 season, Uptown Rising is proud to give artists the affordable opportunity to share their work!

Designed with the choreographer in mind, UR strives to create affordable programs, workshops & performance opportunities that connect artists to the space, their art, and to the growing community at the Bridge for Dance.

Performances are held in our large studio turned black box theatre, providing the opportunity to explore new ideas, revisit works in progress, and build on the creative process; all within the comfort of an intimate setting!

Application Deadline: Sunday, May 1

SHOW 2 - Saturday, June 25 | 7:30 PM

TECH - Friday, June 24 
Application Deadline: Sunday, May 22

Participating Artists Will Receive:
- Space to premiere new ideas or works in progress
- Audience written feedback
- Post-performance Q&A w/ audience
- Discounted rehearsal space courtesy of the Bridge for Dance 
- Photos taken at tech and show ($30 package rate to be paid directly to photographer)

Audience will vote on their favorite piece of the evening, UR Audience Favorite will recieve:

- Free 2 hour workshop to be taught at Bridge for Dance (optional)

- 2 hrs of free space at Bridge for Dance studios

- Complimentry slot in the next Uptown Rising showcase (Fall 2022) 

*$12 application fee 
**$40 participation fee to be paid prior to tech rehearsal
