Calling all New Jersey-based choreographers & dance companies!

Morven Museum & Garden, located in the heart of Princeton, NJ is seeking a diverse range of New Jersey-based choreographers & companies to present dance works as a part of "Morven Moves," an inaugural informal outdoor performance in our expansive backyard garden on Sunday, May 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.

In line with Morven’s mission of preserving and celebrating authentic stories, this dance showcase will do so through movement. We ask applicants to submit short works (15 minutes or less) that reflect the rich and diverse culture and communities of the Garden State. All genres and disciplines of dance are welcome. BIPOC, AAPI, and LGBTQIA+ artists are strongly encouraged to apply. 

 

Participating choreographers & companies will receive the following benefits:

In-house marketing and promotion

In-house ticketing

Free admission to the Museum during development process (March 2023 - May 2023)

In-house Video & Photo documentation 

One scheduled rehearsal to visit Morven and rehearse in the gardens (weather permitting)

 

To apply, please fill out the following Google Form. Deadline for submission is Monday, January 2, 2023. Accepted applicants will be notified in February, 2023.
