Applications are open for Spring for Spring, a dance festival to be presented on June 4, 2023 in Metuchen, New Jersey! Both new and existing works are welcome, and each work will be presented only once over the course of the weekend. The June 4th performances will take place outside at Metuchen Plaza (rain location - mignolo arts center), and a padded floor with marley over the top will be laid down to accommodate; the floor will not be sprung, but it will be soft enough for floorwork and highly physical movement!  The deadline to apply is April 1, 2023. Artists will be notified by May 1 regardless of status. If your piece is accepted, you will have three days to confirm your participation and one week submit your program information, technical information, publicity photos, and sound file.

Choreographers whose work is chosen are expected to help populate the audience, and we will provide marketing materials to the artists. Choreographers will receive complementary selected photos of their piece and a video of their work. Proceeds from donations will be split between the artists after the shows. Artists are guaranteed at least $50 due to a generous grant thanks to Metuchen Arts Council.

We will also be selecting one choreographer/group for Festival's Choice. The selected choreographer/group will be offered a short residency followed by a performance at mignolo arts center. If you have any questions about this residency/performance opportunity, please feel free to email info@mignolo.art. Details will be further worked out with the artists once they are selected in order to suit their needs as best as possible.

Line-up will be different from performance to performance. Proposed piece must be under 10 minutes.
Affordable class series will be offered day before festival in NYC.
