Experimental Contemporary Flamenco Work

Choreographer, Omonike Akinyemi (Image Quilt Dance Theater and a member of the Black Flamenco Network/FUUAD) is looking for four dancers to develop experimental contemporary flamenco dance work with mid-June through July 10th in New York City and Albany, NY (Upstate 2 1/2 hours from New York City).  Some flamenco and African-Diasporic dance training is preferred.  Master flamenco dancer/mentor, Yvonne Gutierrez, to also contribute energetic input.  Residents of New York State eligible.  Come audition with an open heart and stomp away!

Please have up to 1 minute of your dance work ready.  Audition will involve flamenco.  Email production@imagequilt.com with name and full length image of yourself to register for audition.

Auditions:  11 am- 1pm, April 30, 2023 at the Abrons Arts Center
