David Dorfman Dance (DDD) is holding an audition - please apply!

We are seeking:

- highly skilled and big-hearted dance artists to fill current and future company roles

- artists with an interest in the investigative process and an excitement to collaborate

- strong improvisation and partnering skills

- a willingness to work with spoken text that is often self-generated

- folx who share in our mission of “getting the whole world dancing” 

- an investment in DDD’s core value of community engagement and teaching in addition to rehearsing and performing

- a 2+ year commitment

Artists of color, LGBTQIA2S+ and nonbinary artists are strongly encouraged to apply.

DDD company members create, rehearse and perform approximately 20 weeks per calendar year with an average pay rate of $1,000/wk. All DDD members are credited as notable collaborators in perpetuity. Dancers receive sick pay and DDD is working toward providing a health insurance subsidy. 

Application Process:

All applications will be reviewed. Select applicants will be invited to an in-person audition in NYC on June 14, 2023. Callbacks will be held June 17, 2023.

Applications must be received by May 25, 2023. In this Google form, please answer the prompted questions and upload a headshot, resume, and two movement videos (submission details below). Selected applicants will hear back by June 1, 2023 with the audition location and specific time for June 14, 2023.
