1 Ballet Dancer between ages 50-70

Due to an emergency health crisis, we are in search of a replacement dancer!! *Note, this may be double cast in order to lessen the time commitment.

Company: Stacy Grossfield Dance Projects
Location: Brooklyn, NY & L.I.C., NY
Compensation: Rehearsals: $20/hr - Residency & Performances: $30/hr
Opportunity Description:
Perform ballet in an experimental, new dance work. Be one of three in a multi-generational
corps de ballet section of this thrilling new work by Bessie Award nominated choreographer,
Stacy Grossfield. Work to premiere in March 2024 at The Chocolate Factory Theater.
This opportunity is for a female ballet dancer between ages 50-70, who formerly
worked and performed in a ballet company. In the piece, this dancer will perform in short
interludes and in unison with the two other ballet dancers, mostly petit allegro. This work will be rehearsed and performed in ballet teacher shoes.
Schedule:
Rehearsals in Brooklyn
*Dancers must be available for rehearsals between Tuesday Feb. 20th - Thursday, March 7th,
2024. Rehearsal schedule can be flexible, ideally two 2-3hr. rehearsals/week.
Residency / Performances in NYC - *Dancers must be available for all residency rehearsals and
performances at The Chocolate Factory Theater.
Residency:
Wednesday, March 13th - Friday March 15th, Monday, March 18th - Tuesday, March 19th.
Time: Late afternoon/evening.
Performances:
Wed. March 20th 7pm
Thurs. March 21st 7pm & 9pm
Fri. March 22nd 7pm
Sat. March 23rd 7pm & 9pm
Tentative performance Tues. March 26th 7pm
Wed. March 27th 7pm
Thurs. March 28th 7pm & 9pm
Fri. March 29th 7pm
Sat. March 30th 7pm & 9pm
