Casting 3 Female Dancers - Mosaic Dance Theater Company

Mosaic Dance Theater Company is casting its September 2024 production of “Impressions of The Alhambra” an adaptation of Washington Irving’s “The Alhambra,” written following his travels there in 1829. Production features dance, spoken word, and dance/story theater. Middle Eastern and Spanish folkloric dance are the foundational dance forms, with fusion and modern-style interpretive dance. Director: Morgiana Celeste Varricchio; Choreographers: Samara Adell, Carlos Fittante. Performance dates in NJ: September 14, 28, 29. (Transportation provided from NYC)

Seeking:

3 Experienced Dancers, Female, all ethnicities, 5’3” – 5’7,” able to play ingenues. Traditional dance training, theatrical experience, strong character work essential. Non-speaking roles. Middle Eastern dance and Spanish technique a plus.  

Must commit to rehearsal schedule — Tuesdays 3:00 PM – 6:00 PM, Thursdays, 3:00 – 6:00 PM, and some Fridays & weekends TBA. Times Square location. Rehearsals begin May 2024. Non-union LOA 1099 stipend.
