DM Dance: We Move Summer Showcase!

 

OPEN CALL FOR CHOREOGRAPHERS AND ARTISTS OF ALL GENRES!

What is "We Move"?

Established under the direction of Drye/Marinaro Dance CompanyWe Move is a choreographic showcase with an opportunity to present your work, build a diverse network of artists, and expand your craft, creativity, and community. Our Mission is to offer impactful experiences for artists and viewers alike, and future collaborative opportunities; WE believe dance is more than just movement! It can serve as a vehicle of change for ourselves and our communities.

THEME: GRIT 

For our Summer We Move SeriesDrye/Marinaro Dance Company welcomes artists whose work embodies themes of strength, tenacity, and overcoming adversity.

DATE: Sunday, September 22nd at 6PM EST

Location: 3 Dollar Bill, 260 Meserole St, Brooklyn, NY 11206

Your Work!

- Searching for 3-5 works to be performed alongside our company’s work.
- Choreographer/Artist must be based in NYC and surrounding areas.
- Works should be between (3-7 mins max) 
- Works can be of any genre  
- Works should explore and share a strong perspective on courage, resolved, and determination in face of difficult situations, and the choreographer should be able to speak to these themes during the performance.   
- Works should be already completed with an emphasis on strong performance quality and a clear conceptualized idea.

Participating Artists Will Receive $5 of each ticket sold under their unique artist code!
