Hip Hop Breakdance Soloist Wanted for School Performances

ACCENT DANCE NYC is seeking professional Hip Hop break dancing soloists to perform in NYC schools and other sites particularly as part of our Black History program being presented on multiple dates this February 2025, as well as throughout the year.

ACCENT DANCE NYC was founded to celebrate multiculturalism through dance and prioritizes hiring artists who reflect the communities we serve. BIPOC and immigrant artists are especially encouraged, though all are welcome. Artists with experience and interest in working with youth are also encouraged.

TO APPLY: Please send the following materials to Kim@accent.dance

- Resume or detailed bio of your performance experience
- Headshot or clear photograph of yourself
- Video of you dancing (reels, performance / studio / improvisation footage are all acceptable). We will view up to 3 minutes of footage. Please include footage of you breaking, as well as popping, locking and other hip hop street styles.

If you are chosen, your performance segment will need to include 2-3 minute solo that includes breaking, demonstrate and speak about different styles, and lead some audience participation.
