OPEN CALL – BLOOM: EMERGING ARTIST FESTIVAL 2025

Are you an emerging choreographer itching to share a new work? Looking to hone in on your choreographic journey? Maybe looking for a chance to teach and share your process?

Forza Dance is excited to invite choreographers to apply for our second annual BLOOM: Emerging Artist Festival. This season, we are seeking 15-20 choreographic works to showcase in this curated two-day event. Don't miss this opportunity to share your artistic vision and grow within a supportive, creative environment:

WHEN: April 18th and 19th 

WHERE: Brooklyn Art Haus (24 Marcy Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11211)

WHY EAF?

- Tech (20 minutes and 3 lighting cues) and Performance of your piece at BAH up to 90 audience members. Presented in one of the two shows either Friday or Saturday.

- Free admission for choreographers to our movement classes and Community Connect Sessions. Subsidized admission for artists performing your work.

- Written feedback opportunity from audience!

- Livestream Video documentation of the show.

- Introduction and networking with the lovely Forza community and general public.

BLOOM was created as a direct response to feedback over our past 4 emerging artist performances. We have listened to the artists need of more opportunities to present choreography, to connect more intimately with each other, and to feel and give support in mutual benefit.
