Groove with Me. We are a non-profit that utilizes FREE after-school and summer dance classes to promote and encourage positive youth development among girls, ages 5-18, residing in East Harlem and the South Bronx. We serve between 200-250 girls per year and offer between 30-35 classes each year. Our school looks to instill leadership, pride, spirit of cooperation, creativity, joy, and discipline needed to confront adversity in their daily lives and future development.

 

We are currently seeking volunteer teachers for our free summer camp this year from July 7th-August 8th. From Monday through Thursday, 10am to 3pm. We will offer free classes to our students ranging from 8-18 years old. If you are interested in being a volunteer dance teacher for this summer, please send your resume to Malaika@groovewithme.org. We are looking for teachers would would love to teach the below subjects:

Jazz

Hip-Hop

Ballet

Contemporary

West African

Fusion Dance Classes

Arts and Crafts

Photography

Visual Arts

Etc.
