Camille A. Brown & Dancers is Holding an Audition!

Camille A. Brown is looking for extremely virtuosic dance artists to perform for engagements with her Company, Camille A. Brown & Dancers.

Female Presenting Dancers: We are in search of dance artists with the ability to perform African diasporic styles, specifically: polyrhythms, black social dances, and have a familiarity with modern dance and contemporary styles/techniques. The dance artist must have an ability to learn, retain choreographic aesthetic, possess the ability to act and do character work while maintaining a physical capacity to dance and perform.

Male Presenting Dancers: We are in search of dance artists who are familiar with various hip hop forms, breaking, popping, locking, improvisation, and have a familiarity with modern dance and contemporary styles/techniques. The dance artist must have an ability to learn, retain choreographic aesthetic, possess the ability to act and do character work while maintaining a physical capacity to dance and perform.

Dates: June 9th-11th: Women's Audition, June 12th-13th: Men’s Audition

Video Submission Deadline: The Camille A. Brown & Dancers Audition is INVITATION ONLY. Applicants should submit a video for review to cabdmarketing@gmail.com by May 4th, 2025. Video may be of you in studio or performance (must be solo or easily identified), 2-3 minutes of footage. Invited candidates will be notified with audition location and times.

Salary/Wage: Ranges from $25 to $30/hour for rehearsals and meetings; $1000 to $1300 for weekly engagements; $300 for local performances. Payment range is based on experience. Cost of living adjustments may increase fees.

Must be able to work in the U.S.

Rehearsals will begin in-person: Monday, June 16th, 2025 in New York City.
