Calling all dancers who want to perform in NYC and on tour this summer!

 

NYC Performance Workshop with Taylor Gordon

August 11-19, 2025 

Optional August 21-23 Tour to New Hampshire 

For professional, pre-professional, and collegiate jazz, contemporary, and ballet dancers 18+

 

NYC PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY! Join the cast of Taylor’s show UNPACKED: a dance adventure and perform 8.19.25 7pm in Manhattan at Waterside Plaza outside at sunset. During 25+ hours of rehearsals in a professional environment, you’ll build skills to pick up choreography quickly, originate material, refine details, enhance versatility, and perform in a full-length show. Select either the morning or afternoon rehearsal options, or both, and dance in 3-6 different jazz & contemporary pieces. Different numbers will be taught in the morning and afternoon rehearsals.

About Taylor: Taylor is a dancer, creator, and educator based in NYC with an 18-year professional performance career. Credits include Radio City Christmas Spectacular Ensemble (4 seasons), Metropolian Opera Ballet, off-Broadway, Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, numerous international and US tours, commercials & film. Taylor is a Resident Director for Dublin Worldide Productions & a former Show Supervisor for RWS Global. She choreographs for the Princeton University Triangle Club & is on musical theater faculty at New York Film Academy with subbing at BDC. Her choreography has been presented at STEPS, Dixon Place, Jazz Choreography Enterprises, Uptown Rising, in India, Indonesia, & abroad. Her work has been featured twice in the New York Times, CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, Dance Magazine, Dance Teacher, Dance Spirit, and The Times of India.

The Show: "UNPACKED: a dance adventure" is about the journey, not the destination. Rooted in balletic jazz, this vibrant show navigates travel, grief, friendship, and fun, celebrating the people we carry with us who make every step worthwhile. Taylor's brother was an Army soldier who took his own life in 2016. Performance 8.22.25, 6:30pm in NH at Theater in the Wood

Performance 8.23.25, 3pm in Rochester, NH

Morning Session:

8/11-8/15, 10am-1:30pm

8/17, 4-8pm

8/18, 10am-6pm

 

Afternoon Session:

8/11-8/15, 2:30-6pm

8/17, 4-8pm

8/18, 10am-6pm

 

Full Day Option:

8/11-8/15, 10am-6pm (lunch 1:30-2:30)

8/17, 4-7pm

8/18, 10am-6pm

 

Mandatory Tech: 8/19 2pm, Waterside Plaza

NYC Performance: 8/19, 7pm, Waterside Plaza

 

Optional NH tour: 

8/21, depart 6am driving to NH, afternoon rehearsal at the theater

8/22, optional morning class, dress run onstage, 6:30pm Performance

8/23. 3pm performance, short stop at a lake on the drive back to NYC, arriving midnight

 

Registration Fees:

*Either Morning OR Afternoon Option: early bird (before July 1) $600, regular $750

*Full Day Option: early bird (before July 1) $1000, regular $1200

*Tour add-on: $300, which covers 2 nights of accommodation & transportation. Tour attendance must be confirmed by July 1.
