Timeline:
Applications Due: Sunday August 3, 2025 by 11:59pm
All artists will be emailed about application status by late August. 
Performance: Sunday October 5, 2025 at 4:30pm in The Workroom Theater at 33 Hawley St, Northampton MA

You will receive: 
A 15 minute tech (includes 3-5 cues)
Free access to our drop-in classes happening during the WIP performance weekend
A video and professional photos of the performance 
Feedback cards filled out by the WIP audience 
 

About WIP:
The School for Contemporary Dance and Thought is based in Northampton, MA. SCDT presents WIP (works-in-progress), a performance series that showcases developing movement-based works on Sunday afternoons. WIP values sharing research and experimentation, rather than presenting finished works, and welcomes applications from emerging and established artists.

The curatorial team choosing WIP choreographers is composed of fellow dance artists that have presented at WIP and SCDT board members. We are looking to create performances showcasing a diverse range of established and emerging artists, as well as those local to the Pioneer Valley, New England, NYC, and beyond. 

Eligibility: 
Works that are 10 minutes or under that would value being performed while in progress.
