Theatre For Young Audiences @ 92NY: 2025 – 2026 Season Call

 

Theater for Young Audiences at 92NY on the Upper East side of Manhattan is casting superb contemporary and jazz dancers for their upcoming 2025-2026 season!

You must be available for all callback, rehearsal and performance dates for the productions you are interested in. Please check the dates before submitting.

It is also worth noting there may be another callback day later in the year, so if you are unable to make the initial callback day in August please make a note in your submission and you will remain in consideration for the next round : )

 

Seeking:

Excellent contemporary and jazz dancers. 18 to 35 years old, all ethnicities, any gender. Seeking expressive, strong contemporary and jazz dancers who can move these stories along. There are singing and non-singing roles available. Please note in submission which shows you are available for. Please watch attached youtube clips to get a sense of style for the shows at 92NY.

Callbacks:

Callbacks will take place on 08/12/2025. There might also be another call later in the year.

 

Rate of Pay:

$950 Stipend per show run inclusive of all rehearsals and performance dates. Paid at the end of the contract for each show

Storyline: Come join us as our high-spirited and fearless Little Red as she ventures into the country to deliver her grandmother a very special and delicious cake. But unbeknownst to Red, there is an extraordinarily hungry cake-eating wolf who will stop at nothing to get the homemade dessert — even if it means putting Red and her grandmother on the menu! With an original score and songs, dancers magically bring this timely tale to life. This 45-minute show will warm your heart and tickle your funny bone.

Storyline: Join young Alice on her journey down the rabbit hole to the wild and whimsical Wonderland — home of the wily Cheshire Cat,the Mad Hatter, the drowsy Dormouse, and the Queen of Hearts! Chatty flowers, cards who paint the roses red, and a Mad Tea Party make up just some of the fantastic escapades on Alice’s journey. Featuring an original score, delightful dance, and whacky hilarity, Alice in Wonderland is an adventure to the limits of your imagination, and beyond! For families of all ages.

Storyline: "The Little Mermaid" musical tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid princess who dreams of becoming human after falling in love with Prince Eric. She makes a deal with the sea witch Ursula to trade her voice for legs, but must receive true love's kiss within three days or she will become Ursula's slave. The musical follows Ariel's adventures on land, her friendship with Eric, and her struggle to break Ursula's spell, with classic songs like "Part of Your World," "Under the Sea," and "Kiss the Girl".

STORYLINE: Little Women: The Musical follows the March sisters – Meg, Jo, Beth, and Amy – as they navigate life, love, and personal growth during the Civil War era in Concord, Massachusetts. The story, adapted from Louisa May Alcott's novel, explores their individual journeys as they come of age, face challenges, and pursue their dreams. Jo, an aspiring writer, seeks to make her mark in the world while grappling with societal expectations and romantic entanglements. The musical also highlights themes of family, sisterhood, and the importance of kindness and resilience.

Storyline: Happiness is great musical theatre! With charm, wit and heart, You’re A Good Man, Charlie Brown explores life through the eyes of Charlie Brown and his friends in the Peanuts gang. This revue of songs and vignettes, based on the beloved Charles Schulz comic strip, is the ideal first show for those who would like to do a musical. Musical numbers include “My Blanket and Me,” “The Kite,” “The Baseball Game,” “Little Known Facts,” “Suppertime” and “Happiness.” Guaranteed to please audiences of all ages!

Storyline: Meet Millie. Millie has an amazing imagination! Millie is the most creative student in her class! Millie is a whirlwind of ideas! But Millie has one problem — she’s a mess! Always late, missing her socks, misplacing her schoolbooks, Millie has been dubbed “Messy Millie” by friends and family. Like a tornado, she whirls through life, a cyclone of chaos. But Millie is ready to change. Learning from a more-than-slightly-mixed-up guardian fairy, Millie finds that with a little change and a bit of magic, she can find order and joy in whatever mess life throws at her.
