RE/VENUE NYC is returning to the Mark Morris Dance Center! Submissions are now open for artists to participate in pop-up performances October 24-26.

Through this partnership, RE/VENUE NYC and the Mark Morris Dance Center provide artists with free space to produce and perform. Each artist will be programed for one split-bill performance with a technical rehearsal. Artists may present between 25-30 minutes of work.

Performance Schedule
Friday, October 24 – evening performances
Saturdays, October 25 – afternoon and evening performances
Sundays, October 26 – afternoon and evening performances

RE/VENUE and Mark Morris Dance Center provide:

A performance slot in the James and Martha Duffy Performance Space
A cut of the net box office proceeds
A short tech rehearsal
Use of venue sound and lighting equipment (board operator provided)
Management of online and in-person box office
A dedicated ticketing link to your performance
Email and social media marketing of your performance to both RE/VENUE and the Mark Morris Dance Center communities

Lead Artists commit to:

Promoting their performance to their community to help sell tickets to their show I
Adhering to the tech and performance schedule provided

RE/VENUE NYC? is a project to revitalize New York City’s strained performing arts industry. By building partnerships with venues and artists through short-term pop-up performance series, RE/VENUE NYC provides artists with free space to produce and perform their work while simultaneously bringing new audiences to venues. This collaborative approach strengthens both the artistic community and venue ecosystem while expanding New York audiences for live performance.


The Mark Morris Dance Center is a cultural hub for the Brooklyn community, offering dance classes for all ages and abilities and subsidized rehearsal and performance space to NYC-based dance artists and companies.
