Lydia Johnson Dance is an acclaimed professional company with a nonprofit school which holds classes in Maplewood and South Orange, NJ. We are seeking a Saturday ballet teacher for kids for our Fall 2025 semester that starts September 13th at our South Orange, NJ location.

This opportunity is on Saturday afternoons - 1 class for 5-year-olds/Kindergarteners, with the possibility of an additional class in the Winter/Spring semester, summer teaching and paid assisting.

We teach with a noncompetitive community approach, yet the classes are well structured, age-appropriate and fun. Our school has a strong child-centered approach, and young dancers are given the chance to explore their own choreography and freedom of expression. 

The location is across the street from the South Orange NJ Transit station (about a 30-minute ride from Penn Station). Our school website is below, and the Company is at www.lydiajohnsondance.org 

Our teaching fees are competitive, and we pay every 2 weeks.
