Theater for Young Audiences at 92NY on the Upper East side of Manhattan is casting for the role of Alice’s Mother/Queen of Hearts for their upcoming show, Alice in Wonderland.

You must be available for all callback, rehearsal and performance dates for the productions you are interested in. Please check the dates before submitting.

Seeking:

Alice’s Mother/Queen of Hearts: 25 to 45 years old; all ethnicities; female presenting. Mezzo/belter. Strong contemporary dancer.

As MOTHER: Represents the "real world" structure Alice rebels against. Starts stern and perfectionist, but softens by the end. Needs a performer who can balance maternal grace with comic detachment in the opening.

As QUEEN OF HEARTS: Regal, terrifying, and prone to tantrums. Must command the stage with voice and presence. Think "villainous diva." Strong vocals and a gift for comedic arrogance are essential.

Callbacks:

Callbacks will take place on 09/18/2025. 

 

Rate of Pay:

$950 Stipend per show run inclusive of all rehearsals and performance dates. Paid at the end of the contract for each show

New York, NY

-       Non-union actors only.

-       You must be available for all rehearsal and performance dates.

1.     Slate: Name, if you are based in NYC and available for callbacks on the 18th of September at 9:00 am

2.     Headshot and Resume.

3.     Contemporary Dance reel and/or Jazz reel.

4.     Vocal reel or 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song.
