MWC Seeks Saturday Teaching Artist
Matthew Westerby Company seeks an experienced teaching artist to teach in our East Harlem dance education prgram, Rise & Shine. The program offers subsidized dance education for young people afterschool on Saturdays, for all ages 2 to teens.
The teaching artist position would start in January, working from 9.30 AM - 1 PM, teaching four classes in Creative Movement (2/3 yrs & 4-6 yrs), Ballet (7 yrs+) and Hip-Hop (7yrs+). Pay rate is $50 per hour (total of $175 each Saturday).
The ideal candidate would have a BA/BFA in dance, as well as teaching experience with the age ranges listed. Please submit a resume and cover letter detailing teaching experience.
