Join HDC Company! Founded in 2024, this is a group for dancers of all ages who love to perform in various styles and settings. We develop work led by individual choreographers, as well as collectively as a group. Style of movement ranges from funk, contemporary, freestyle, post-modern and more. This year we will be performing in an original play called "Free Yourself, Dance" at the Pelham Fritz Recreation Center. See video of last year's performance.

REQUIREMENTS

This is open to all ages. An advanced-beginner ability to learn, memorize and develop choreography is important for this particular group. Dynamic and expressive performance style through self-expression is a must.

ABOUT THE SHOW

"Free Yourself, Dance" is an immersive theater production during which the audience will be taken on a space odyssey to an intergalactic dance battle on earth. With robots convincingly mimicking human movement, our characters are on a journey to discover dance's ability to reveal the humanity of our spirit and soul—The Essence. 
Everything culminates at a EGYPT2112, the most exclusive discotheque on planet earth, where the audience is invited to participate in a dance battle, Soul Train line, line dancing, freestyle and more. 
This play takes a positive message about the joy of movement and drapes it in layers of fun with a sci-fi setting, three immersive locations and an eclectic cast of actors, dancers and musicians.
